Which IPL team has high chances in IPL 2021
The biggest T20 tournament IPL is all about thrills, chills and blockbuster entertainment! The second phase of IPL 2021 is ready to rock and roll from September 19 in the UAE. Earlier this May, The Board of Control for Cricket in India decided to finish the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League 2021 season in the United Arab Emirates, given the monsoon season in India during September.
Ahead of the IPL 2021 in the UAE, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) disclosed replacements in their respective teams for the remainder of the season. RCB signed Sri Lanka allrounder Wanindu Hasaranga in place of Australia’s Adam Zampa. In the recently concluded T20I series against India in Sri Lanka, Hasaranga was impressed with his performance. RCB brought in another Lankan player Dushmantha Chameera for Daniel Sams, England quick George Garton for Kane Richardson and Singapore cricketer Tim David for New Zealand’s Finn Allen.
Rajasthan Royals made two changes in their camp as they brought in New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips in place of England’s pacer Jofra Archer. Rajasthan picked South Africa player Tabraiz Shamsi to fill Andrew Tye shoes.
Punjab signed Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis for Riley Meredith. PBKS also selected England leg-spinner Adil Rashid to replace Jhye Richardson.
KKR brought New Zealand pacer Tim Southee on board as a replacement for Australia’s Pat Cummins. The two-time champion must go many extra miles to clinch the trophy.
However, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals made no changes in their squads as all their players are available to play the tournament.
Delhi Capitals is leading the leaderboard at the moment, closely followed by Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai. The runner-up of last season is high on confidence with six wins in eight matches. The defending champions Mumbai Indians are at number four and will go out all the way to retain the trophy. While Bangalore will eye on their maiden title, Chennai expects to reiterate their dominance in the league.
