Following an on-field altercation with Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson after Monday Night Football, Buffalo Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb addressed the incident from his perspective. He clarified that rumors about him discussing Jackson’s mother were false, stating he focused his trash talk on the game itself. “I’ve heard I was talking about his mom. That’s not true at all. I said, ‘We’re gonna see y’all’s ass again. And when we see you again, all that chipping ain’t gonna save you. That tight end and guard is not going to save you.’ He said, ‘What’d you say?’ I said, ‘That chip’s not gonna save you. The guard’s not gonna save you.’ And then boom,” Chubb told reporters Wednesday.
The confrontation occurred after the game, with Jackson striking Chubb in the face. Initially, Jackson received a two-game suspension, which was later reduced to one game. He will miss Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals as a result. Chubb acknowledged he initiated the exchange, explaining he was provoked by the Rams’ celebratory demeanor, which he described as “front-running.”

The tension stemmed from overtime drama, where the Bills blocked a potential game-winning field goal by Harrison Mevis before securing a 37-34 victory with a Josh Allen-led drive. Chubb recorded two tackles in the win, calling the game “emotional” and noting the heated tempers. “But it is what it is. We flushed it and we onto next week,” he said after the game.
